Ramson AB offers optimized filtration systems and production solutions for waste water, industrial filtration, and drinking water. We guide you from water analysis to customized solutions, including calculations and verification through pilot testing. After thorough testing, we can provide both stationary and container-based solutions for water and purification of other liquids. Our focus is to ensure water quality that meets all required standards.
Waste water includes, for example, leachate from landfills or water from fire training grounds. This is often water that needs to be treated for PFAS/PFOS, heavy metals such as arsenic and mercury, and other contaminants.
Process equipment and waste handling
To ensure an efficient and reliable water purification process, we offer a comprehensive range of process equipment. This includes pumps, compressors, valves, and flow meters with accompanying control systems, as well as piping and headers—allowing for a smooth and customized installation for each project. We also handle the removal of sludge and residuals from the purification process in a sustainable manner. In cooperation with approved transport and waste management companies such as Renall, NG Nordic and Tekniska Verken, we ensure that all waste is responsibly managed. Our goal is to minimize environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Financial options
We offer flexible financing solutions, including purchase, rental, hire-purchase, and treatment cost per cubic meter. To date, we have delivered around 15 container-based systems, most of which are remotely monitored. For some facilities, we are also responsible for service and operation.
We offer both stationary and mobile solutions for water and liquid purification. Our systems include combinations of:
Particle filters in series
Particle filters, or multiple filters in series, are a common initial step in water purification systems. Ramson’s traditional range includes automatic filters, basket strainers, bag filters, and cartridge filters. These are effective for particles from a few millimeters down to around 0.5 microns.
Gravity filtration with belt filters
For water or oil emulsions with higher levels of contamination, such as particles, fibers, or loosely bound agglomerates, is gravity filtration using belt filters an excellent solution. Filtration is achieved with cloths made from various polymer materials, effective down to approximately 10 microns.
Oil separation
For oil-contaminated water, we offer several solutions depending on the amount and type of oil. Ramson works with Gravimetric-based oil separation, bag filters combined with absorbents, and Orefilter systems.
Media filters: activated carbon – sand – ion exchange
Tanks filled with activated carbon, sand, or various types of ion exchange resins can be used to remove specific substances. Activated carbon is often used to remove “taste and odor,” while sand filters are effective for removing iron and manganese. Ion exchange media can be tailored to capture specific substances such as PFAS and heavy metals.
Membrane technology
Polymeric membranes are often classified as Ultra, Nano, or RO (reverse osmosis), depending on their separation grade and working principle. In water purification systems, they are typically used as the final and finest purification stage.
UV treatment
In certain cases, UV treatment is used to reduce bacteria and other microorganisms in water. UV light damages bacterial DNA and inhibits reproduction.
Ramson’s traditional particle filtration products are combined with advanced filter systems for industrial applications. We offer a comprehensive range of products for particle filtration whether the water or liquid needs to be purified before entering the plant, during the process, or when discharged.
Robust solutions since the 1960s
Ramson’s automatic filters or basket strainer filters are often used on incoming water from lakes and rivers. These solutions have been trusted in the industry since the 1960s and are known for their reliability and efficiency. For process water inside the factory, the choice of Ramson filter depends on flow rate, pressure, temperature, and the required filtration level. The same applies to outgoing flows, where the choice of method is also guided by municipal and regional discharge regulations for stormwater or natural water bodies.
With calculation, design, and manufacturing all under one roof, we have the capability to configure and adapt our filter products for seamless integration into your process.
For small and medium-sized water treatment plants, Ramson builds both stationary and container-based solutions. We offer customized systems that address challenges such as microorganisms, high turbidity, TOC, COD, iron, manganese, fluoride, color, and PFAS.
Tailored purification methods
Based on initial analyses and testing, we propose the optimal solution tailored to your specific needs. Ramson’s solutions can include everything from particle and media filters to membrane technology and UV treatment. A purification system may, for example, begin with aeration or a solution using potassium permanganate to effectively manage contaminants. This can be followed by sand filters or series of particle filters to further enhance water quality.
If needed, additional steps such as water softening, activated carbon filters for taste and odor, radon removal, and UV treatment can be integrated into the process. For even higher purification efficiency, membrane technologies such as UF, NF, and RO are also available. In addition to filtration systems, our solutions include process equipment such as pumps, compressors, valves, and flow meters. These components are connected to control systems, piping, and headers to ensure a streamlined and efficient purification flow from start to finish.
Ramson is a company that develops, designs and manufactures filtration systems. Our products can be found in a great variation of industries; mining, steel, energy, enviroment, paper, navy, pharmaceutical and food, just to mention a few.
