Ramson offers disc filters in collaboration with Scam Filtres in France – a robust solution for filtering high-viscosity and self-lubricating fluids. The filters are available in various levels of automation and are manufactured in different materials to meet the stringent demands of industrial processes.
Disc filters are available in manual, semi-automatic, or fully automated versions – adapted to your needs and the requirements of your process.
Disc filters are ideal for applications where fluids such as oil, tar, fuel, glue, paint, and resin need to be cleaned of particles. They handle filtration grades from 50 µm up to 1000 µm – and some models are available with 20 µm capability upon request. Flow capacities range from 0.2 m³/h to 200 m³/h, with the possibility for higher flows for suitable applications.
The filters consist of a cylindrical metal element made up of discs separated by spacers, where the size of the spacer determines the filtration grade. As the fluid passes through the filter, particles are captured on the surface of the discs and scraped off by opposing discs. The movement of the discs can be controlled manually or motorized, depending on the application. The scraped-off material collects at the bottom of the filter and can be drained, usually manually, although fully automated solutions are also available.
Disc filters are manufactured in carbon steel, brass, or stainless steel, depending on the media and environment. Ramson also offers spare parts such as sealing kits and filter elements upon request.
